The Bear Den Zoo and Petting Farm is; Education, Conservation, and Preservation. We have on exhibit some of the most amazing exotic, farm, and wildlife animals.
We try to provide the people that come visit us with as much information about the animals as possible along with hands-on interaction with certain animals.
We take pride in providing a clean and safe environment to enable people to fully enjoy their time they spend with us.
If you or anyone that you know loves animals, then the Bear Den is the place you and your friends must visit.
Some small facts taken from a visit at the Bear Den
Black Bears: The black bears name is deceptive. It is a species name and does not refer to their color. Black bears coat colors range from pure black to cinnamon to blonde.
Mountain Lion: The Mountain Lion is a very agile animal. They can easily cover 23 feet in a single leap. They also can run very fast over short distances, but they tire quickly.
Siberian Tiger: The Siberian Tiger can eat up to 100 pounds of meat a day but they need at least 20 pounds of meat a day to survive the cold climate of their home land enviroment.
Llama: In South America, llama's are used for pack animals, production of fiber for rugs and ropes, meat, and their dung for fuel.
North American Porcupine: A full grown porcupine has up to 30,000 quills. Their forefeet have four toes and their hind feet have five toes.
